Back on the slopes today for a wonderful day of skiing. This area is so beautiful! We have seen abundant wildlife. Leah and Madison saw a bear today! We see mountain goats nearly every day on the drive to the slopes. This morning we saw the most awesome ram up in the rocks. If only I had had my camera! Kade is really getting the art of snow boarding down pat. Madison and Arden ski just about anywhere. Arden has been going down a few black runs! Jack Aaron hangs just fine with the men. Scott is feeling much better today. We think he may have had altitude sickness.

Tuesday in Town
Today all the guys went skiing and the girls hung out around town. We bought some sleds, did a little shopping, and ate lunch at Tequlia's over looking the hot springs resort. Next on the agenda was to head to the mountain to get in some sledding. The guys met us there and enjoyed a little sledding until time to get off the mountain before dark. Scott came back to the condo and went to bed with fever and hard chills.

Ski Monday
Got an early start; arrived at Wolf Creek, about a 30 minuet drive north from Pagosa, about 8:00. It was a good thing too. By the time we got our skis and lift tickets the line was very long. We heard someone who spends a lot of time skiing Wolf Creek say that this was the most people they had ever seen here. We had a good day on the mountain despite the long lift lines and crowds.

Sunday in Pagosa
What a beautiful day! Our condo (pictured, bottom unit) is really nice. We are just hanging out at the condo today. Headed for the hill first thing this morning. The kids got in some dish sledding until it cracked. Scott, Aaron, Leah and Jack Aaron went in to town to buy more sleds and find Aaron some boots. He found out that his were too slick after busting his tail a couple of times.

Off to Colorado
We got an early start: 5:00 a.m. Spent the first night in Amarillo; slept a little later, had breakfast complements of Hampton Inn West and made it to Clines Corner by noon. Made the mistake of eating at the resturant there and wasted 2 hours. We have vowed that we will not grace the Corner with our presense again! Arrived in Pagosa Springs at dusk. Thankfully Aaron and his crew got there and got us all checked in by the time we arrived. All we had to do was drive to the condo.... however, the last 100 miles was a slow, snow packed drive, but beautiful!
